In 2009, my husband and I decided to come to Canada. Since we didn’t have the convenience of Facebook or WhatsApp groups at the time, we opted for an immigration agency.

We paid for the consultation and went to the meeting, only to be told in five minutes that we didn’t qualify for any Canadian immigration process! Money lost, dreams shattered!

But, like true Brazilians, we didn’t give up on our dream. We hired a native French teacher and took private lessons for three hours a day, for six months. At the end of that period, we were very discouraged because, according to the agency, we still didn’t qualify for any immigration process. I don’t know if it’s because we’re very bold or just reckless, but we decided to read everything the Canadian government’s website had to say about immigration.

We realized that, even with slim chances, we could apply for the Federal Skilled Worker immigration process.

We submitted our permanent resident application on our own. Four months later, we had our permanent resident visas in hand! That’s why we’ve come so far with Excel 4 Canada.

We have a soft spot for all exchange, immigration, and work processes. Many of our clients come to us with little hope, but after a conversation, they leave more excited and determined to pursue their dreams.

We’ve had students with extremely complicated cases that other agencies didn’t even want to touch.
